How do you milk a pot plant??
Well, thankfully with this recipe you don’t need to figure it out!
First, you need to choose what kind of milk you would like to infuse! Any milk will work; however, the best kind to use is the fully-fatty kind such as whole milk, coconut, or heavy cream. These work best because cannabinoids require lipids with which to bind. Most milks contain some fat content, so no matter your choice of milk this recipe will work.
What you will need:
🐮 2 cups of your milk of choice
🐮 2 grams of your choice of decarboxylated pot (don’t worry, we are including how to do this in this recipe)
🐮 Saucepan
🐮 Baking Sheet
🐮 Ladle / spoon
🐮 Strainer and/or cheesecloth
🐮 Something to store your milk in
The steps, let’s get cooking!
First you will need to decarboxylate your weed, this means that you are activating THC so it will get you high, if you skip this step your milk will not have any potency.
To decarb your weed you will first need to grind it, make sure it is not too fine or it will be tougher to sift out of your milk.
Preheat your oven to 150°
Spread your ground cannabis onto a baking tray evenly.
Put your tray with your ground weed into the oven for 15 minutes.
Your weed should look toasted when you’re taking it out of the oven. Let cool and then you’re ready to use it!
✨ Now we can get on to the milk making! ✨
Heat your milk in a saucepan, it is important to make sure that you do not let your milk boil.
Once your milk is hot add the ground decarboxylated cannabis to the pot. Let them hang out on medium heat for an hour and a half.
Make sure you are stirring the mixture so that the milk does not boil. If your mixture boils you could lose the potency of the cannabis.
After an hour and a half take your milk and strain it through your strainer and cheesecloth into a heat proof bowl, so that you do not have any weed chunks.
Let cool and store, or let cool and use it!
