CANNABIDIOL (CBD)

Cannabinoids are chemical compounds that are produced naturally in our bodies and some plants.

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is the second most common cannabinoid found in cannabis and it has little to no effect on the body.

CBD is extracted from the trichomes and is commonly made into  an oil or capsule. It can also be applied topically to the skin as a cream or salve, inhaled or ingested in dried flower format, or ingested as an oil or in an edible product.

    POTENCY

The majority of CBD oils on the market are full-spectrum extracts. This means they contain not only CBD but also a range of other cannabinoids and terpenes found in cannabis plants.

CBD content, or potency, is measured in milligrams per gram in cannabis. For instance, 12% CBD means that it contains 120 milligrams of CBD per gram (mg/g) of cannabis. As a natural product, the CBD content in a dried flower cannabis product may vary from product to product and lot to lot.

    PRODUCTS

Cannabidiol is as versatile as THC and found in a variety of products.

Flower: Combusting or vaporizing CBD cannabis allows users to feel the effects of CBD almost immediately.

Isolate: CBD isolate is cannabidiol in its purest form: a fine white powder. This crystalline form of CBD is versatile and allows users to measure precise doses.

Concentrates: CBD can also be purchased in concentrate form, including raw CBD oil, cartridges, vape pens, syringes, and more. Concentrates bridge the gap between CBD flower and CBD isolate.

Infusions: CBD can be infused into all sorts of readily usable products, including edibles, elixirs, sublingual sprays, and topicals.
